On July 26^th, interns Jacob Stern and Ram Sachs went with Professor Dashdorj to Choir for a research trip. They visited a ninja coal mine, a processing plant under construction, and the open pit mine at Shive Ovoo. While there, Stern and Sachs learned about the socialist systems that dictates coal pricing at Shive Ovoo, causing the mine to operate at a perpetual loss.
